Bring your skills to a contractor that’s built to last
Since 2008, DISC Electrical has kept businesses running safely, legally and without interruption. We’re a fully accredited commercial and industrial contractor — NICEIC Approved, ISO 9001 and 14001 certified — delivering installation, maintenance, testing, inspection and control panel work to clients in manufacturing, construction, quarrying, nuclear, education and beyond.
We’re growing, and we’re looking for an experienced electrician who shares our standards. If you’re the sort who won’t leave a job until it’s right, works safely by instinct, and wants a long-term home with a team that backs its people, read on.
The work
You’ll take on a genuinely varied workload across commercial and industrial sites — the kind of role where you’re always learning and rarely doing the same thing twice.
Depending on the week, that could mean:
- Carrying out installations, maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial systems
- Fault-finding and putting things right quickly and safely
- Testing, inspecting and certifying to keep client sites compliant
- Working to drawings and specs on fit-outs, refurbishments and new builds
- Building and installing control panels and machinery connections
- Being a professional, reliable presence on client sites nationwide
You’ll be a strong fit if you have
- A recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- A JIB Gold Card / ECS card
- Solid hands-on experience in commercial and/or industrial environments
- A full UK driving licence
- A real commitment to safety and quality — no shortcuts
- Flexibility to travel to sites around the country when needed
A bonus, though not essential:
- 2391 Inspection & Testing
- Control panel and machinery experience
- EV charge point installation
- CSCS / relevant site safety cards
Why DISC
- Real investment in your development — training and progression, not empty promises
- Interesting, varied projects across a wide range of industries
- A tight, supportive team that treats each other well
- Proper tools, PPE and support to do the job safely and well
